Jamie Ashdown has returned to Portsmouth after spending the last month on loan at Championship side Norwich City.
The 25-year-old former Reading shot-stopper made two appearances for the Canaries but was sent off in the 5-0 defeat at Stoke City and failed to win his place back after serving his suspension.
He has been on the substitute's bench for the last three matches - including Sunday's derby defeat at Ipswich Town - with Paul Gallacher regaining the number one spot.
Ashdown has made 39 first-team starts for Pompey but is currently the third-choice keeper at Fratton Park behind David James and Dean Kiely.
