Middlesbrough teenager Adam Johnson has returned to the Riverside Stadium following his brief loan spell at Championship strugglers Leeds United.
Whites boss Dennis Wise has decided not to extend the 19-year-old winger's month-long stay at Elland Road which expired following Saturday's 3-0 home defeat to Southampton.
Johnson made five appearances for Leeds but was kept on the substitute's bench for the last two games against Colchester United and the Saints.
The teenager has made 23 appearances for Boro, nine from the substitute's bench, but his only Premiership start this term came in the goalless draw at Bolton Wanderers.
